Ora's Stupendoriffic Update : D

Chapter 9:

“Crap. What the hell did I just do?” Donyelle thought to herself as she had her nosed pressed against the glass of the Krispy Kreme Donuts place.

Donyelle knew exactly what she had just done, but it had just taken a bit for the consequences of her actions to fully dawn on her. It was easy for her to become lost in her thoughts as she stood at the window becoming entranced by the hypnotic effect of watching donuts on a conveyer belt.

“Ok… let’s recap this… in the last 45 minutes I’ve received numerous gifts, almost made out with Benji, partaken an in-car karaoke dance party, toyed with Benji’s emotions… errr… desires I suppose, shot him down for Dmitry and brought up Tahir. Jesus Christ. ” Donyelle deliberated to herself.

Her mind began to hone on to the last part of that summary. Tahir. She had pretty much forgotten about him the whole time she was with Benji until the point where she vengefully brought him up in conversation.

“He’s still my boyfriend. We are still together. As far as he knows we are as in love with each other as we ever were… if we ever were.”

Donyelle began to think about her and Tahir’s relationship as a whole and it became increasingly clear that their whole relationship was all about him and his needs. He didn’t want her to try out for the show because it would take away from time she spent with him, he didn’t try to convince her to continue dancing, he rarely came to see her dance on the show for one reason or another, usually because he had some gig that night or because “he didn’t feel up to it”. Donyelle knew that she couldn’t morally have a relationship with Benji while she was still dating Tahir and even for a while after, due to the media and all the Benjelle shippers who would be all over it if her and Benji came out to being in a relationship.

As the donuts continued to be coated in the delectably sugary glaze Donyelle knew for the 1st time in a while what needed to be done. Tonight when Benji dropped her off back at home she would call up Tahir and end it. Donyelle knew that it was pretty cheap to break up with someone over the phone, but with the tour rehearsals coming up she knew she wouldn’t have much time to see him and break it off in person. Besides, she wanted to go into the tour with a fresh start and no constraints.

As Donyelle continued to be spellbound by the Krispy Kreme Donuts she realized that there was still no sign of Benji. She looked back at his SUV and managed to make out the outlines of his head over his headrest through the back window.

“I wonder what’s taking so lo-- oh… right…” Donyelle pondered until she remembered the state in which she had left Benji in the car and began to chuckle.

“I guess his big problem is taking a while to go away…”

Donyelle couldn’t help but laugh at that thought. She was well aware that what she had just done to Benji was pretty damn cruel, but deep down inside she enjoyed every minute of it.

“Hey! He was asking for it with that little Blockbuster remark!” Donyelle thought as she tried to rationalize her actions to herself. “…but that doesn’t mean that I didn’t enjoy every minute of it.”

Donyelle sighed. She figured after that little stunt, Benji would be pretty upset with her. Either that or he’d brush it off and try to forget it ever happened. Then again, it had been about 5 minutes since she left the car and Benji was still sitting in the place she had left him so Donyelle seriously doubted that Benji would be able to let this one go.

“I guess I’ll just have to make it up to him later” Donyelle said out loud quietly enough for only her to hear.

Just then, she heard a door open and looked behind her to see Benji finally making his exit from the SUV. She smiled at him sweetly but it was all in vain. He had the demeanor of someone who was severely angry but trying not to show their frustration. Benji finally reached where Donyelle was situated and she got up and tried to give him a hug. However, he shrugged away from her and opened up the glass doors of KKD and walked inside. Donyelle knew that she had definitely hit a nerve with that little sex kitten act she had pulled. She sighed to herself as she stood alone at the window as the donuts continued to stroll by her.

“I guess my dream won’t come true after all…”
