Squeeeeeee

Ora, my love! Yay for emailing Benji *swoons*. I remember when he emailed me back after I send him a montage, and he told me it was great and he would watch it with Dony on the bus *dies just thinking about it*.

By the way, I'm über excited that you've joined my cause full on! I was afraid I'd be all by myself... But you, Candice, and I shall hereby knock the socks off of this thing!

I agree about wanting the charity to be more than just the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. It's certainly a worthy cause, but, given the choice, I would have chosen a charity angled more to children than college students, since that is his main focus. Unfortunately, when I created the cause, I discoved that I had to choose a benefactor, and there was a very limited list of those I could select that had anything to do with Jesús' vision, at all. If we can contact him and make a charity in his name, we should be able to set ourselves (meaning that charity) up as the bennefactor and then add that to the cause (though I'll have to make another page, since I already tried changing the bennefactor, and it wouldn't let me). However, I have another thought, too. In my Latin Americn Studies course this last year (best class I've ever taken), we did a unit on the Mexican American Civil Rights Movement/Chicano Civil Rights Movement. During that, we studied the grape industry, and a lot of the struggles they went for to gain fair wages. I don't remember if there was a charity associated with that, but I'll look into it, and it would certainly go along with our cause quite well.

Anywho (Since people are probably wondering why this is all aimed at Ora, I'll wrap it up), let's discuss this more on facebook. I can also try to talk to the people who run Sara's fanspace on facebook (since one of them happens to be her brother) to see if one of them could talk to Sara about it.

Here's Ora's exchange with Benji:

Ora said...
ummm Moose?

can we just say that I just got a reply message from Benji
holy CRAP.

My Message:
Before I begin, HI!!! I was a heavily addicted Benjeller and I love both you and Donyelle and look forward to seeing both of your futures blossom.

Anyway, my name is Ora. I live in Chantilly, Virginia and am 17 years old. Last year, you and Donyelle captivated the hearts of thousands of people and inspired them to dance. This year, I (and several of my friends) were once again touched by the actions of a contestant on the show, Jesús Solorio. After hearing his goal of wanting to inspire people to dance, my friends and I decided that we wanted to live out his goal and "pay it forward". Therefore, we have started to spread dance awareness in the areas we live in by organizing dance showcases, competitions and fundraisers.

Originally, we were going to donate all the money that we earned to the Hispanic Scholarship Fund in California, but I was curious as to what one would have to do in order to start a charity in honor of someone, like you did with D.E.M.A.N.D. In addition, I was wondering if there was any way for me to contact Jesús about the charity (in order to get permission to start something in his name).

I truly hope that you don't feel as if I'm using you to get to Jesús it's just I had no one else to turn to seeing as Jesús doesn't have a Myspace, Facebook or any fan accessible way of contacting him. Trust me, if you were to reply to this message I would probably go into a fangirl induced coma.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message and send my best to Lacey,
~Ora

P.S. My inner fangirl would feel robbed if I didn't ask you for some type of autographed Benji paraphernalia so if you'd be willing to write your name on anything and send it in the mail it would be throughly appreciated.

His Reply:

hi back. unfortunatley i cant give out any info on jesus at this time. he's a bud of mine but i, being emplyed on the show cannot be in cintact with an cast member from this season outside of show related business. but be patient...im going to get him for a demand benefit at the end of the year.
much blessing to you!

Interview With Jessi and... <3Jesus<3 lol

Thanks for the link Ora! I hereby bestow upon you... A rubber ducky (I know... Been there, done that... I'll sart thinking of something else. Would you like a Dancing Benjelly Belly, pocketsized for your convenience?)

This interview is from the blog 'Reality Check by Gina':

A Reality Check With ... Jessi Peralta & Jesus (FOX's "So You Think You Can Dance")
This season of FOX's So You Think You Can Dance has proved to have shocking elimination results and last night was no exception as hip hop dancer Jessi Peralta & contemporary dancer Jesus Solorio were sent home. What seemed like an easy ride to the top 10 ended abruptly for the two & they're here to talk to RealityCheckByGina about their experience.

RC: Jessi, first of all, how is your health?
Jessi: I’m feeling as good as can be expected after just being kicked off the show.

RC: I spoke to Faina last week who said you had suffered from dehydration then. Was your illness this week in part because of that?
Jessi: Last week, I did get really dehydrated again & I was admitted to the hospital. It wasn’t on show day so the cameras weren’t following me around. I had the same symptoms this week but the doctors were focusing on my dehydration. There’s not enough time for me to take care of myself. Everyone is on schedules and the show has to run like a machine otherwise, the viewers will be disappointed.

RC: Can you both tell me about your dance background?
Jessi: I started dancing at the age of 2 & have been taking classes ever since. I was on scholarship at Broadway Dance Center in New York. You name it, I’ve tried it. I’ve gone to street battles & tried to hang with the boys. I just love every single form of dancing so anything I could get my hands on, I’ve tried to do.
Jesus: I actually, when I was smaller, I started break dancing, believe it or not. I went into jazz then to lyrical then to training when I was 12.

RC: Was this your first year trying out for So You Think You Can Dance?
Jessi: I actually had never even seen the show & this was my first year. I haven’t been able to afford television. All I knew was that it was about dancers from different backgrounds.
Jesus: This was my second year trying out for the show. The first time I auditioned was unorganized. It felt very unorganized & was harder than this year. I didn’t know the process but this year, because I knew the process, I made it through. It was stressful to a certain degree but not to the point where I wanted to collapse & faint & cry, feeling I wanna go home.

RC: Jesus, you said something last night about getting a phone call saying you had helped kids. Can you elaborate?
Jesus: I got a call from my rec center that I grew up in, a non-profit organization in Oak Park. They said I had inspired all these kids to pursue their dreams & that no dreams are too big for them even if they don’t have money because I was poor & homeless at one point. There’s a lot of that going on in Oak Park. Hearing that was the greatest thing for me.

RC: So there is time to communicate with your family & friends while on the show?
Jesus: Yes, totally there is. It’s not a lot of time & I decide not to talk too much so that I can focus on my dance & rehearsals. I don’t want to stay out of touch & I don’t wanna be an ass. But it’s because that’s how focused I am.
Jessi: Yes & if that were not the case, I would’ve been eliminated sooner. There was a lot of pressure on me & drama. They keep reminding me that I’ll overcome anything.

RC: Jesus, you received great reviews for your krumping dance with Sara. Were you surprised to be in the bottom? What do you think happened?
Jesus: It did come as a surprise because I thought America liked us & the dance. We got good reviews from the judges. That’s what confused me a little but I understand that it’s a show & it’s all good.

RC: Jessi, was it difficult to be cleared by your doctors to dance last night?
Jessi: It was frustrating because I could overcome everything in my mind so my mind is saying, “You’re fine, you can dance”, My body is yelling at me to slow down a little. My mind is saying to the doctors, “I’m fine, please let me go” and the doctors are looking at the monitors saying, “No way”. I kept thinking of Pasha, I didn’t want to leave him to dance alone. I’m glad he was safe. That’s my guy.

RC: Jessi, your elimination in particular was very abrupt. Why do you think Nigel chose to do it that way?
Jessi: I would assume they were going for the shock of it. As a businessperson, he has to make a good television show. As a dancer, we’re in the background a lot so we’re taught to be poised. He was probably trying to pull that out of me. I don’t know, I felt like … that was rough. It was a little harsh. I don’t think he was taking into consideration all the other crap I had gone through that week. Giving me that last blow, I was in round 10 after being knocked down so many times & that was it.

RC: What do you think of the new pair Sara & Pasha?
Jessi: I’m jealous! I really feel like what Pasha & I had was special, it was more than the show, it was more than the performance. You know, girls, let’s be honest. It’s hard not to have a crush on that guy. I felt like our chemistry was more than a performance. That’s why I was so inclined to tell that to the country last night.
Jesus: Well, I was talking over the situation with Sara. I think they’ll be good. Pasha is a strong lead & Sara is a good follower & hard worker. She takes notes to heart & makes it professional. It’s a good mix & they’re both entertaining! I don’t know if he’ll be good as me because nobody can replace me for her but, all jokes aside, I think they’ll do well.

RC: What was the reaction from fellow contestants that you would be leaving?
Jessi: They were sad, they were sad. But it’s a competition, they want the good people out. It makes it easier for them. Not to pat myself on the back, but I feel like they lost a good person last night. I felt like they lost a big player.

RC: Mary Murphy, in particular, was extremely harsh with Cedric. Did you think he & Shauna would be in the bottom 3?
Jessi: Cedric had kind of been their “risk”, they were taking a risk on him letting him in the top 20. He knows exactly who he is & what he’s capable of. He agrees with everyone’s opinion that he needs more training & education. That’s the beautiful thing about America being in control – they love the underdog. I think it’s great!
Jesus: I kinda had a feeling that they wouldn’t because of sympathy votes. Cedric is my friend but the judges were trying so hard to kick him off that it backfired. They need a new strategy: don’t antagonize, find another tactic.

RC: Do you have a favorite dance performed by your fellow contestants so far?
Jessi: I would say … Wade’s piece for Hok & Jaimie. But ... honestly? I love my performances with Pasha. What you see us doing on stage, that’s the real thing. I look at him & I say, “This is the truth!”
Jesus: That would be Sabra & Dominic’s lyrical dance. I helped Dominic with it while trying to learn my own routine & he’s so passionate about what he does. They both are, so it really touched me.

RC: Jessi, how was it to say goodbye to Pasha?
Jessi: That was tough but Pasha is a very centered human being. He said, “I’m sorry, you’ll get through this.” After this, will there be something between us? I hope. But I can’t expect his head to be anywhere else but the show. I think he feels the same way I do.

RC: Jesus, do you have a favorite moment of being on the show?
Jesus: The pasa doble with Sara.

RC: What are your plans for the future?
Jessi: I have been pursuing this professionally since I was 16. The office job, the day job, was something I had to resort to. The pursuit of dance wasn’t taking care of me financially. Hopefully I won’t have to dance at bar mitzvahs again. I would rather dance at a bar mitzvah for $100 than spend another day in the office. I do have some opportunities coming up with some movies. I don’t think this was a bad thing.
Jesus: I’m not going to stay here, I want to do professional work & I have been doing so since I was 17. I did Hannah Montana & the Latin awards. I wasn’t sure if people were looking at me so that’s why I did this show. I’m hoping I did inspire people. I’ve been doing acting as well so I’ll be working on acting & singing.

So You Think You Can Dance airs Wednesdays & Thursdays on FOX

Awww, if only all the honest loving from Jessi were Benji to Donyelle (or vice versa)...

Or Jesús to Sara <3<3<3... Don't worry, they haven't replaced Benjelle for me, but they were my power couple/source of Season 3 shippage... But, comeon people! Let's face it... They're both quirky, incredibly sweet (especially to each other :D... I've totally been stalking them with all their little touches at results shows, and such), and unbeliiiiieeeeeeeeevbly sexy. What more could you want? *sobs*

Kamcey is my other favorite (Though, frankly, I love almost everyone), and they certainly have a lot going on there... There are plenty of signs that point straight toward romanceville... But they're not quite as out there in their interactions as Benjelle, so I'm not quite as drawn to it.

Anywho, love!

Dombra/Sabronic Blend

Here you go, Erica!

Feel free to let me know if it's not quite what you had imagined, because I literally have no life, and would be happy to tweak/completely redo it for you. However, I only have two other pictures of them that I didn't use, so you may have to point me toward some better ones if the pictures themselves are an issue.

I'm still in the market for some good Jesúra pictures if anyone has any.

JESURA!

Sorry guys, I know I've gone into that same rabid state that I was in last year when Allison was eliminated... But, hey, it's not like we have any Benjelle news, anyway.

So, on the subject of my beloved Jesúra...

Once again, if you have any pictures from their dances, please let me know. I have a few, but they're not great, so I'd like to have some better ones for the blend I'm gonna make.

In the mean time, I did make a blend of just Sara (Click for bigger picture), since she has a fanpage on both facebook and MySpace (Jesús, unfortunately, has neither), and thus had many more accessable pictures. Comments are always appreciated : D

Finally, I made a facebook cause: "WWJD: Why Would Jesús Dance?" Basically, it's in honor of him as an inspiration, and trying to help him out with what he said was his ambition (Giving back to society, Paying It Forward, etc.). I'm asking the people who join to hold some sort of dance bennefit (Whether it be a formal dance showcase, or just you and your friends dancing around your house) as a fundraiser to donate the money to us (Via the button on the Cause page - We never come in contact with the money, in case you're worried it won't really go to charity), which then goes directly to our nonprofit bennefactor (I tried to choose one closest to what Jesús wanted to do, which was to give back to children): Hispanic Scholarship Fund (Currently, only about 9% of the Hispanic population graduates from college). Anywho, please join if you have a facebook... If you don't have a facebook, you should consider getting one, cause it generally kicks MySpace's butt (Though I have a MySpace, too) :-P. Also, there's a lot more information on the actual site.

Anywho, here's the link: < h t t p : / / a p p s . f a c e b o o k . c o m / c a u s e s / v i e w _ c a u s e / 5 8 6 5 ? r e c r u i t e r _ i d = 1 1 8 2 8 1 6 >

Please go take a look : )

Love!

Congratulations Jesu[insert accent]s!

Alright, so after the maybe 3/4 hours of sleep I was just so rudely awaken from (Insomnia sucks), I've reflected, and found a new outlook on the Jesús situation. In fact, I'd like to congratulate him. Based on this season's judging, he should feel honored. I mean, if you're a guy on the show who gets eliminated, that pretty much means you're an amazing dancer, have a great personality, and actually have a chance to win. He should be proud to join the ranks with Ricky and Jimmy of the dancers who were 100% the stupidest choice to eliminate. And so, Jesús, take a bow, my friend. Thank the judges for the support and praise they showed you by allowing you to proudly take your place beside two others of the greats, but feel free to let those idiots know just where they can shove it ;-).

Sorry, was that satire uncalled for?

Jesura Pictures Please (Why is it being stupid and not letting me do the accent???)

*cries*

*cries alot*

*cries some more*

*attempts to compose herself*

"You know, I may actually need a minute"

*cries again*

*whimper*

Does anyone have any Jesúra (It let me do the accent there... No accents in titles??) pictures?? I can't find any anywhere, and I really want to make a blend... a) Because I'm incredibly depressed over his departure, and b) Because I might as well make the best of the 28 days I have left with Photoshop before the free trial comes to an end and I never see it again.

I'd like pictures from all three dances, if possible... Or even downloadable versions of those dances so I can make my own pictures.

Love!

HOLY SCHNIZNICKEL WHAT THE FUZZELATING GUACAMOLE BEAN??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Noooooooooooo! (In sharp contrast to Taylor's sentiments)

I was alright with Jessi leaving, since I wasn't that attatched to her, but her solo was actually the best of the girls' tonight, and she's done some mazing paired work with Pasha. And Cat, I love you, but Holy Jesús (Yeah, you heard me... I'll be getting on to that point in a moment *sobs*), why do you always make them talk when they're about to cry? And, God, the judges could have said more... They basically said, "You all suck. Lauren, we're gonna use you as an example of why you all suck. Bye Jessi." I mean, jeez, they could have spent two seconds giving a reason, or at least said that it was a horrible decision to have to make, so they were going to have to let her go for medical reasons. Anya should have gone, anyway. Danny's usually carrying her a bit, and her solo was the worst. Gha.

And, by the way, I HATE YOU, AMERICA!!! Seriously, just throw Kamcey in the mix while you're at it, and get rid of EVERYONE I love!!!!!!!!! GHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! I really, really didn't want any of the guys to go home. Jesús' solo was not as good as the others', I'll admit it, but I was most attatched to him of the three. I mean, Jesúra was quite possibly my favorite couple! NOOOOO!!! And, though Neil is amazing, Jesús' dances with Sara have been spectacular; Neil's haven't been as amazing, though they have been good. However, Nigel is sooooooooo a hypocrite here! He's always said that you can't stay in just based on solos, that you have to not let down your partner. I love Neil, but he let Lauren down a little this week. I don't think he should have gone home, by any means... But he should have over Jesús. And I'm sure at least Ora's crying with me, here. And, sorry Taylor, but Cedric should have gone home. It's not that I don't like him, because I do, but he should have gone home last week, and probably the week before. I'm not saying there's no value in these unique dancers, because there certainly is, but that shouldn't mean that you sacrifice some truly amazing dancers to keep them in. And, yes, Dominic has been doing well, but he's still not quite the Godsend they keep making him out to be. I am so pissed at the judges, 'cause, frankly, this is all there fault. They got ride of Ricky and Jimmy, and now they're overhyping Dominic to justify it. And, on the other end, they decided to be STUPID and try to manipulate the voters by being outright mean to Cedric. I think that he should have gone home, but that was absolutely uncalled for, and precisely the reason he didn't go home. They decided to be brutal, so everyone voted for Cedric out of pity and to piss them off. Just, gha, Jesús, I love you!!!!!!!!! And everyone was crying about having him leave, too! The Jessi/Pasha thing was depressing, but Sara is pretty much my girl here, okay? And she and Jesús were one of the dream teams... I love them... And I shall now proceed to find gajillions of pictures of them and make a blend.

Gha, I'm going to cry... Tonight was almost as depressing as when Allison left, and I was sooooooooooo not happy that night.

UGH, AND I HATE FERGIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, sorry if I've offended/pissed off anyone, but, in case you hadn't noticed, I'm über riled up right now. And, once again, I'm not trying to say that I wanted Cedric to leave, but, in my opinion, he should have gone, as much as I felt for him over the judges being assholes.

I also apologize for any lnguage that may have offended anyone, though I certainly left out a lot of choice words I wanted to use.

Ugh, and my parents are driving me crazy again, too! I mean, they have an annoying tendancy to downplay the show... i.e. Talking about all those "Teeny-Boppers" voting just for the hot guys (I reaaaaaaaaaaally wanted to mention that some of you guys are in your twenties and thirties... But my parents would steal my precious computer away if they knew that I talk to you); saying that Lacey's okay, but only doing so well because of Benji; talking about all of last year's dancers and downplaying them... Rawr! lol... And, God, the night started out on a high note when they showed Donyelle (It is truly amazing how happy I get just seeing Benji and Donyelle in the audience...)!

Alright, I'm going to go cry now!!!

~ Moosey Has Another Reason To Hate Her Country... Okay, Not The Country So Much As The Government. Mostly Bush. Sorry, I'm A Democratic Socialist :-P... Hey, Candice? I'm Moving To Canada, Okay? Good. ~

(Psst. And sorry to any Republican's who may hate me now, too. I wouldn't say all this if I weren't so crazed right now. If it helps, my best friend's a Republican, as is the guy I like, so I have nothing against you, personally :*)

GHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

YES!

YEAHHHHH! CEDRIC IS SAFE! YES YES YES! SQUEE!

=] I'm so happy right now.

That was a really good show...besides Jessi getting kicked off. =/ I think the judges got it wrong...but I didn't want any of the girls to go really. :[

annywayy

Fergie's voice was really low. o_o Ludacris. is. amazing. I love him <3 I think if ever met him I'd have a heart attack. XD Ohoh, and did you all see Fergie's dancers? ugh! When they started spongebobbing I was all dhfsfgjds! I can not spongebob for my life. =[ *tries and falls* WAH.

oooh. Next week's show will be interesting. Para...Sasha! haha. =D

Yay Photoshop!

Hey guys!

Don't worry, I'm not being bitchy any more, lol.

Okay, so after (literally) dozens of prototypes (Mostly because this is my first time ever using photoshop, and I kept making little mess-ups that I couldn't undo)... I have a blend! Now, being the profectionist I am, I'm not 100% satisfied, but I've spend about 8 hours now slaving over every little detail and effect, so, for the sake of my sanity, I stopped myself. Please let me know what you think! (I put up small versions so it wouldn't cut it off, so click to see the big ones - Except with the avatar.)

Personally, I think it's a little amateurish and all over the place... But, I dunno, that might just be that I'm overly critical of myself (Readers of "Behind The Wall": See? After all the scolding comments I've recieved for being so self-depricating, I'm attempting to get better about that :D). I will admit that I think it's infinitely better than the first (and only other) blend I ever made:

I do like this one, but it's just a little too simple... I mean, it's one soling picture, with two others just stuck on top of it... No effects or anything... But I owe the slightly elevated spiffyness of my new blend to Photoshop (I made the Kermit one on AppleWorks - A Word Processor for Mac that's great for writing essays, but not quite so fantastic in terms of photo-editing), *sigh* I only wish I had the money to buy the actual program, since my free trial will run out in 29 days : (.

Also (Since I'm using this to change my set on the fanfic site - Which, right now, is the Kermit banner, and a drawing I did of a crazy Moose on AppleWorks Painting), here's an avatar I cut from one of my prototype banners:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I love this effect, too, but it didn't work out as a whole. I also had the picture of Treidi putting their hands together through the bench in every version but this one, but it ended up sorta blocky, and so I went for one of my second favorite moments from that dance, when she uses her foot to get the sunflower from his hand (It's kind of hard to tell what that's a picture of).

Oh yeah! Haha, and the entire premisce of the blend, by the way, is that it's a moment from the dance that sort of started the entire shipping craze for each couple (Benjelle, Ivason, Treidi, and Kamcey). I wanted to add another Season Three couple, but I couldn't find any pictures of any of my other favorite couples that would fit with the rest of it.

'Shrimp' So I'll stop ranting about it, now (I've had waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much Dr. Pepper this morning :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D).

Hehe, pleeeeeeeeeeease comment!

Love!

~ Moosey ~

EDIT: Sorry about the words going down next to the blends. It's annoying, but it won't let me fix it. Gr.

My Parents Just Don't Understand

Alright, so I was laying down, watching the show with my family, and I don't even remember what her was saying, but my dad said... "I remember that Benji and his partner."

Dead God, I swear I litterally sat bolt upright and screamed, "HIS PARTNER???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And then my mom (Who always walks right into my room whenever the bleep she feels like it) came in and looked at my computer screen, where I was making a blend on Photoshop, and she made this really obnoxious sound (She thinks everything I do is a waste of time) and sighed, then said, "Don't be obsessive!" and stormed out.

Now, I know I sound like a whiny teenager, but the first thing was just plain blasphemous... Even my sister was outraged :-).. And the second was my mom being a crazy drama queen, and trying to piss me off, as always.

lol, Don't worry, I'm not really going ballistic over this... I'm just in general in a pissy mood about life being crappy : D.

I'll write about the actual show when (if) I finish my blend (This is my first time using Photoshop).

Love!

What we have all been waiting for...

A BENJELLE CONTEMPORARY ROUTINE! :o SQUEE!
This made my day! Seriously, first the TMB bad dance...now this. =]

*insert doofy grin here*

Credit goes to my big cuzzy, Ray, who I love way too much! =] Ohoh, did this routine remind anyone of Quana's Missing You Like Crazy storyline?
...because...with that whole Krystle thing....like, Benji was dancing with Krystle during the marriage...yeah I'll shut up now. I don't make sense. XD

I didn't really get the story. =[ I feel stupid. But my sister and I think that it's about like this girl {Donny} who loves this guy {Benji} but then she meets this girl {That other girl who I like to call Krystle XD} and she falls in love with her. But then she still loves Benji, and so Benji realizes tht Donyelle should be with Krystle and not him. So he lets her go, and Donyelle is with Krystle. Yay! Donny's lesbian. =D

hahaha, well...that's just what I think the story is. XD

shutting up now. :]

-Taylor :P

:o

I read the spoilers for tonights episode.

=[ that's sad.

but I won't spoil. :]

Benjelle Bad Dancing

=D This was too funny. I liked the beginning where Donyelle punched his butt. XD

Nobody Can Replace The Cast Of Season Two...

I've been looking around photobucket for some pictures to include in a blend I'm attempting to make ('Attempting,' of course, being the opperative word... I don't even have photoshop! all I have to work with is Appleworks Paint...), and I came across a bunch of pictures of those dancers who will always be closest to my heart. Second Round Of Elimination

First of all, I must point two other highlights from last night (Thanks to my love Candice for one :*): "Danger!" and "I do believe you shaved you toes..."

Now on with the sad :(

Girls:

- Jessi: I must say, I've never enjoyed her solos. However, her two pair performances have been amazing.
- Shauna: Before they were eliminted, my parents saying that she'd be the one to go, and I kept thinking "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO." lol, I like her *pout* Besides, she did a REAL solo. She was the best tonight.
- Faina: I'm sad she had to go, but she's always come across kinda snooty to me... Her solo was okay, but I would have chosen her to leave.

Boys:

- Pasha: His solo was also not great... But, once again, his pair performances were.
- Jimmy: SHOULD NOT HAVE GONE HOME! I mean, my heart was literally breaking as he cried. Yes, individuality and unique style are both great... But they have now gotten rid of two of the best male dancers, who actually may have a chance to win...
- Cedric: ...Whereas Dominic and Cedric, while incredible at what they do, have far less of one. While I am still mourning the loss of Ricky, I though Dominic was really good this week... But Faina and Cedric each (In my opinion) had to carry their partner through one of the dances. It is so incredibly hard to choose who to send home this year, since everyone is sooooooo great, and no single performance has been anywhere near horrific (Though some were clearly far better than others). So I end up feeling really harsh for being so critical of people who actually did a pretty good job... But, let's face it, somebody has to go home. I did think his solo was good, though my thoughts immediately go to the Top Six group performance to Hide and Seek... Which I am still in love with... But, anyway...

*EDIT*: What I'm saying about how they have much less of a chance to win isn't just because they're untrained. I mean, I am very quickly falling ever so in love with my girl Sarah. And Ivan was one of my favorites last year... But he didn't have a chance to win, either. Dominic has the potential to get really good, and maybe Cedric will, too... But Ricky and Jimmy have shown so much talent, that they could have easily gone all the way.

Love!

D:

:[ whaat?!

Did they seriously just kick Jimmy off the show?

ugh. =[ Pasha should have gone home instead. This irks me.

They should bring back Benjelle so that my emotional wounds may heal.

*tear* Jimmyyyyyyy *tear*

Highlights From The Show

Aw jeez, what do I even say? EVERYONE kicked some pretty fiiiiiine ass tonight *sizzle*. I mean, nobody can ever beat last year's cast in my heart, but everyone this year is unbelievably talented, most are pretty damn charismatic, and, let's face it, they're all hot. 'shrimp' So... Some great parts for me (Though, unlike Taylor, I can never remember to take notes, so I've forgotten it all).

1) Mia: "I love birds!"
2) Nigel (While being gangsta): "Like you's the greatest thing since sliced bread..."
3) Benji's heart sticker.
4) Tyce is a sexy, sexy man.
5) Allison working with Tyce and Kacey (I'm sorry, that is just too much amazingness together at once... I might explode.................... KABLOOEY!)
6) Buddy and his electric sign.
7) The four little boys that I saw in the audience. The first booed a judge about Cedric, the second was just plain cute as he waved to the camera, the third had a sign saying he loves Anya, and the fourth looked like he'd rather die than be sitting there watching dance.
8) Mia telling all the booing preteen girls (I think you have to be 14 to get in, but most still looked 12 or younger) to shutup. I mean, I boo along in my head a lot, but tonight, and usually, Mia's advice was entirely constructive. There were a few times last year when she was outright mean, but she hasn't been this season. Besides, half the time I seriously want to rip those girls' heads off for screaming so obnoxiously through all the performances. It's one thing to do that on tour when everyone most likely knows all the dances by heart, but another on the actual show. And even when there's a really amazing move, I don't mind the screaming... Just the constant, deafening drone of it drives me whacko.
9) Tyce is a sexy, sexy man.
10) Sarah is really, really gorgeous! I mean, I've always thought she was adorable, but dang, she's hot :-P!
11) Mia: "Your hands have a dance of their own."
12) When Neil was talking about how he and his twin started dancing because their best friend in preschool did... lol..
13) Cat: "Or as Donyelle would say, "Vietnamese Waltz!" Hehe, I'm so garsh darn loyal... Every time they said "Viennese Waltz" I kept 'correcting' them, so that made me smile. I wish they would have zoomed in on Benji for that, though.
14) Jesús was great in their pre-dance video. I'd say they're one of my favorite couples (And they are), but I could say that about most of the couples... So hard to choose!
15) When the music for the Paso Doble came on... I just started laughing, lol. But as I watched, I actually thought it worked pretty well! It had that Paso beat to it, which I neeeeeever would have noticed.
16) I want that SYTYCD garb!
17) Tyce is a sexy, sexy man.
18) Mia: "Have you had any formal training?" (Sarah shakes her head no) "Well, in that case, you were fabulous."
19) Nigel: "Have you ever danced in heels?!"
20) Mia: "How do you feel?" Dominic: "......Scared.........."
21) Uggggggggh, I distinctly remember that there was some other comment I really wanted to add on, but I DON'T remember what it was... *shrug*

"I LOVE BIRDS"

Haha, I'm only 40 minutes into the show over here, so Taylor's prolly already covered stuff I haven't seen, but that line is killing me! Mia's so funny tonight :-P

And what's with the sticker on Benji's face?

Well, Sabra and Dominic are about to go on, so I'm off for now.

Moose's Montage On Hold

Okay, guys, the only two people who have definitively gotten back to me about their clips are Veevee and Ray, so I guess the montage is indefinitely on hold. If you planned to send me a clip, PLEASE let me know, and I will still accept them, and hopefully make the montage when (Though more likely 'if') I recieve clips from enough of La Familia. I still really want to make it, but most people either vaguely told me that they might be interested, or didn't respond at all, so it looks as though it won't work out.

But, hey, my dancin jelly bean's still chipper. lol.

Dancing Benjelly Belly

Hehe, hey guys, I was really bored the other night, so I decided to draw something, and it ended up being a Benjelly Belly (Grape, of course!). Enjoy : )

This is a lot smaller than the actual drawing, but the new version of Blogger finally let me download it... Which turned out to be stupid, since it cut off parts of a bunch of the pictures on here. So I had to go back and repost this and Silas' blends with feature on the new version, which, unfortunately, makes them smaller. Click on the pictures to see the full-sized versions. Oy.

More Videos

Thank you God...I mean Ora : D. Muchos love to you, and, yes, Jesús is all yours, girl.

Passi Smooth Waltz: This one was actually good (Unexpected since, other than the obvious Benjelle, of course, Waltz performances last season weren't always the best). I think it helped that they had infinitely better music that the Jivers.

Shimmy Broadway: Dan and Nigel's comments totally gave me a flashback to the second Benjelle Broadway, when they told Benji he outperformed Donyelle *heart breaking for both* Aw, but besides that the "frumpy and dumpy" comment really confused me, because Donyelle's dress was equally, if not more so, and they didn't say anything. And don't get me wrong, I am NOT dumping on Benjelle! Maybe she was just dancing so well that Nigel didn't notice the dress, but I never really liked it. *shrug* Anywho, here are two versions.

Group Dance: Wade is love.

Benji's Solo: You silly, silly boy. I'd hate to have him have to face the judges after that :/. I seriously think he needs better underwear than the flag, though (Even though the song is somethin something Americano), 'cause it's just not doing it for me. It's not that I'm all high and holy about respecting the flag of our country; infact, I'm someone who would hold no qualms in burning a flag in protest (Well, except that, knowing me, I'd end up accidentally setting the whole city on fire... I don't even go near the stove, lol). It's just boring. I mean, come on, if he had Muppets on his underwear, or, like, someone's shippy Benjelle blend (squeee), wouldn't you be happier to see his pants drop? That's what I thought.

Videos Of Last Night's Dances

These are the only two I've found on YouTube thus far (Thanks to Chickey for the Kacey :*); if you know of more, please let me know, but these two were my favorite dances of the night, anyway:

Kacey Contemporary: Amzuhzazing! Aaaaah, I love it. I can't say it's my favorite dance of all time, 'cause I am shamelessly devoted to Benjelle and Ivason, and their dances, along with Ramalama, the Bench Dance, and a few select others, live on for me forever... But I really, really love it. And, let's face it, those two are HOT together! And during elimination, I believe (Though I'm exhausted and forgetful at the moment) that they were the couple being a little more touchy than the others. So who knows? Benjelle can NEVER be replaced, but could Kacey be on the rise? Hehe.

Jes(a/ú)ra Pop Jazz: Also a favorite. I love them, and it is sooooooooo delightfully demonic. If, by chance, I ever meet Tyce, and he rejects me, I will likely (After wollowing in my room with tubs of cookie dough and crying hysterically for months on end) pick myself up again and go for Wade.

Ooh, nevermind, I found a bunch more.

Danya Jive: I'm sorry if anyone is gonna kill me over this, but I despise this song with a firey passion. Just, GHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. *bangs head repeatedly on desk* But a shrimp goes out to Taylor of the grasshopper. Hehe.

Hokaime/Hokamie Hip Hop: Poor Shane... On the other hand, if our amazing Hok had done more of his stuff, poor Jaime/Jamie (Which is it? People keep spelling it both ways) wouldn't have been able to keep up.

Faindric Hip Hop: Not as good as Hok and Jaime/Jamie's, but okay.

Laureneil/Neilauren (Haha, yeah, I know that's just both of their names... They don't blend well..) Salsa: There were parts here that weren't that great. It kinda reminded me of Allison and Ivan's Salsa that first week ("She worked you all over that floor"). But I really really like Lauren, so I'm glad they stayed.

I think I'm missing three, but those were the only ones I found, so, again, let me know if you see more pop up. Oh, and espeeeeeeeecially holler our way if you have access to downloads.

R.I.P. Ricky and Ashlee

As I always have, I find it kinda silly that they send people home after the first week, after they've only had the opportunity to do one dance style, but, hey, it is what it is. I think it's awefully depressing that those two had to go home this week, even though we haven't been given the chance to really get to know them yet. Out of the three girls, I think Ashlee was the right choice to send home, simply based off of her solo. I mean, it was okay, but it just really didn't do much for me tonight. Now, in terms of the guys, I believe that Ricky was absolutely the wrong choice of who to send home. Though they're all amazing, I think Dominic's solo showed less than Ricky's did, and everyone in the room when I was watching thought he would be the first person they'd automatically keep. And, again, we haven't seen their personalities much, but I think he's shown one as much as Dominic has. Oh well, maybe that's just me.

In terms of the fairwell videos, what is up with the song choices? I totally miss getting 'Suddenly I See' and 'It's the End of the Road' stuck in my head each week, and singing them at the top of my lungs (While tearing up a bit) each time they came on the radio this year. I mean, these songs were okay, but so... Forgetable. They may be good songs just by themselves, but if it's a song for saying goodbye, you want pizzaz and fireworks. You want it to be catchy. I didn't even really hear the song in Ricky's video until the very end of it. Boooooring.

Benji!!!!!!!!!!!! A Benjelle reunion on stage would have been a dream come true (I would have DIIIIEEEEEEEDDDDDD), but it was amazing to see him up there, too. He was spectacular, as usual. I mean, DUHR. And the little chat with Cat was hilarious of course. It's hard to believe that I wasn't too big on her at the beginning of last season, cause I'm crazy about her now (She is soooooooooo a Benjelly). And when I saw Benji taking off his pants, I was, like, stifling laughter. My mom was going crazy (In a bad way :/), and my sister didn't think that he was, even when you could see the red and white stripes as he did his turn. Hehe.

What else... Ooh, the beginning dance. It of course can't stand up to Ramalama, or even Sexy Back (Especially if you consider who's in Sexy Back), but it's a Wade Robson creation, so automatically über cool. Though it was seriously hurting my head. At this stage in the game, it's hard enough to figure out who's who when they're in their pairs, but the costuming was no help whatsoever. I picked, like, one guy out when he got close enough to the camera. Well, other than Hok, of course. He was the only easy one to find. I THINK I saw Lacey once, but those wigs were really throwing me off. Sheesh.

Much lurv!

squee.

Okay I think that my little fangirly heart just might break under all of my squeeing. THAT WAS AMAZING! Okay, I took awesome notes...so here I go. :]]

So, in the beginning when they introduce all of the dancers Lacey's outfit was soo hawt! I loved her boots. :D And when the Top 20 was announced and Lacey was all leanin' and rockin' to "Top Twen-ee" I was dyiinng. Lacey is so freaking pimp. I love her!!

I couldn't stop laughing whenever Ricky came on because I kept thinking about Veevee's comment. XD XD

Was it just me or did the length of the dances seem muuuch longer than the Season Two Top 20? Well, the first dance was soo good. I didn't like it as much as the third but it was still really good. And of course the song was hot. That's a good song...weird video though...but the director is still fun. =]

haha did anyone hear those fangirlish screams as soon as Bunny was shown on the screen. hahaha He wasn't even on stage, all they did was eshow his face and the audience went cray-cray [props to vee for that awesome word =D] Danny was good and everything....but I didn't like his Jive as much as the judges did. I don't want to be mean so I won't say anything. I'll just say one word....grasshopper.

=D Moving on. ha. Kacey? Laceron? Lacey and Kameron were the best. I couldn't beleive it. To me it was the best routine to ever be performed on the show. Yes. That's pretty high praise right there. Over TMB, better than the bench number, I liked it more than "Why" or the Tranji geek dance. That dance was absolutely perfect to me. I didn't want it to end. It ended so fast. =[ wooo. goosebumps. I could go on forever about that, but I'll spare you all. :D

YEAHYEAH! I saw benjelle sitting together too! I was all BENJELLELELEL! And I saw Travvie's hair. and he was sitting next to IVAAN! *Wonderwall plays in the background* hahaha. closet scene. XD

Soooo I'm still shocked from the perfection of the Lacey and Kameron dance so eek. I have no idea what to type about. But I really liked the last routine! Shauna and Jimmy weren't my faves during the auditions over Vegas week but my opinion has definately changed after seeing that performance.

And of course Sara and Jesus. ha. jesus. I liked that routine, I think my sis liked it more than I did. I think she liked that weird....horrorificness...kinda spooky funky hip-hop watchamajigger. Like Ramalama! Even though she was getting a soda while they performed it on tour. loser. XD "ITS BACK ITS BACK!!" *flails* ahhaha wooo. That was funny.

And the last thing I have to say is that I loooved the Ivan-Travis-Donny love happening. That little laugh they did was so fun. And Trav's hair was hot....did I already say that? I have no idea. I think I've had too many twizzlers. =[

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE IS BACK!!!!!!!!! *hi-fives all around* YES!

-Taylor :P

haha I know that my transitions from topic to topic suck but I'm not a good reviewer, bare with me. :D

Cat is so a Benjelly

I'm only 24 minutes into the show here, but I must say, Cat has proven herself time and time again:

Please Let Me Know

Hey everybody,

So far, only a few people have expressed an interest in being a part of the montage I'm making, and Veevee's the only one who has actually tried to send me her clip (And I still need to have my dad work on reformatting it, since I can't open the file on this computer). I still want to make the montage, and I have the song to set it to, but I can't do it if it's just going to be Veevee and me. I'd love to have it encompass as wide a span of La Familia as possible, so please leave a comment to let me know for sure what your participation will be.

I know that this has taken over the last few posts on here, but I'd really like to get this figured out. You don't have to send me the clips this instant, but please just take a minute to comment and let me know for sure whether or not you will be doing it, and when you think you'll be able to get it to me.

Lots of love and sorry for being such a pain about this,

Season Three Top 20

Wow, so three siblings from last year's show on this year! Yay for Lacey!! Dan(n?)y's a little cocky, but my mom pointed out that, being adopted gives most people some sort of protective atitude, and maybe he'll come out of that. But, gah, when they announced that he was Travis's brother Dan(n?)y I definitely had flashbacks to one of Taylor's stories when he died *tear*. Hm, and I already forgot the name of Stanislav's sister, but she seamed pretty great, so hopefully she'll make it a little farther than he did.

And so happy about Hok, too! I mean, Twitch was great, but after three times trying out, and being so darn kickass, they kinda have to let Hok on, you know? I was on here at 7:00 my time, when I still had an hour to go until the show, and people were saying that Lacey made it, but it didn't say anything about Hok, so it was, like, nail-biting.

But yeah, so who else... I wish I actually remembered names at this point!

Um, oh yeah, Lauren seems fantastic. And, oh my God, I officially need to kill her for knowing Tyce! Or become her new best friend and make her introduce me to him. *swoons* Sheesh, where's Thallie when I need her? Myceallie lives on, my love! (Newer people probably have nooooooo idea what I'm talking about, but, hey, half of you probably don't even know who I am, or remember when I made this lovely blog of ours, and convinced the lovely Taylor to join me in the crazy gamble. But hey, look at us now. *Sticks tongue out at Vixen* I'm only kidding! Much love to you, Vixen; your blog is where we met in the first place! Why am I rambling on? Who knows. I'll just blame it on the fact that I've been in extraordinary pain all day, and screly able to move. Yeah. Shutting up on this now. : D)

Hehe, and I quite enjoyed Ricky's (Randy? Who knows...) comment about not knowing what kind of strange he is. But yeah, he sure is strange.

Okay, and I officially dont' remember any other name's but Anya (Because of the pseudo-Disney movie Anastsia : P), and I don't really have anything to say about her as of yet.

Über lurv all around!

Tonight's Show

Okay, so can you say "Brutal"??? I mean, I'm obviously rooting for Lacey and Hok, but sheesh they cut a ton of people... And is it just me, or does anybody kinda think of Natalie when they see that Olivia girl. I don't even really know why. lol.

Oh, and I am soooooooooooooo ashamed, but I totally couldn't tell that was Dmitry until they said so! I mean, maybe it's just that they didn't give a clear shot until then, or something, but that hair tooooootally threw me off.

And I know that Veevee already said this in a comment, but the entire time, I kept announcing to my family (much to their dismay) exactly which dancers danced to which of these same songs last year. My mom mentioned that maybe they don't want to get permission to use more songs than they've already been cleared for, but what about the solos people did to them last year? *shrug*

Well, I'm being stupid at the moment, so I can't think of anything else to say except that I can't wait for the "real" competition to begin, and that you should all let me know if you're gonna send me video clips or not : D

More On My Dancing Video Montage

Heylo! : D

Hokey Pokey, so I think the only people who have mentioned that they're going to try to send me clips are: Veevee, Chicky, Taylor, Ray, and Dominique (Roughly in that order, too, not that it matters at all, lol). Now, I know I've been gone for a while, so I don't know all of the new people in La Familia as well, if at all, as I knew the old gang, but I'm inviting EVERYONE to be a part of it. If I don't list you here, please don't be offended, beacause this is merely an off the top of my head list. Just let me know if I don't mention you and you'd like to be in it, because I would love to include as many Benjellies as I can. Anywho, other people I can think of who should definitely let me know are: Candice, Thallie, Ora, Silas, Nash, SeoSy, Kemi, Savannah, Moni, Nixie, Bridge, Bella, Megan, and Jonesy. Now, I know I'm leaving people out, but I'm definitely not consciously choosing who is left out, 'cause I love you all. So pleaaaaaaaaaaaaase let me know. I may post this on FanForums, too, for those such as SeoSy and Thallie who haven't been here for a really long time.

Also, I was thinking of doing a gag reel/behind the scenes sort of thing at the end of the montage; what do you guys think? In that case, I'd ask that you guys send me videos of your humorous mess-ups and such, as well, and there would be a little bit about each person showing on the screen as it shows those bloopers. It wouldn't be like Taylor's montage where everyone's talking about everyone else. Just some facts about how long they've been dancing, etc., and maybe a quote that you'd give me of how Benjelle inspired each of you.

901...chyup.

Mkay, so for a while I've been pondering the idea of making a La Benjelle Familia tribute montage. It would be like, a picture montage with commentary, and the commentary would be from other Benjellers (of La Familia). I'm guessing that I would order it by age, or randomly, or whatever, but we could each tape ourselves talking about another Familia member. Well, not just one, all of us. Like, I would tape myself talking (Good things! haha) about Moose, and all the cool stuff that happens, and one about Ceecee, and Ray, and Bridgey, etc. Some of the earlier Benjellers might not know the later Benjellers, for instance, Medina might not know that much about Silas, or any of the other Familia members. Mostly just Dominique and I, so she would just have to make commentary for me and Cee. You don't actually have to tape yourself talking about the familia...you can record an audio if you want, or if you want you can just tape yourself. lol. I won't really use the video part that much, it's mostly the audio...because it's a picture montage...chyeah. And so, tell me what you guys think about this. I know most of La Familia is busy, and some of us are still in school at this point, but if you make the video I shall love you even more than I already do. =] squeee!

Okay so just in case you've forgotten (hee, sometimes I do) here are the La Benjelle Familia members. [the more recent ones. not the familia members from like way back when. ha.]

1. Kemi
2. Ora
3. Bridget
4. Rachel
5. Dominique
6. Mary
7. Veronica
8. Taylor
9. Hannah
10. Medina
11. Belzy Bop. (no idea what her real name is. I'm a terrible person =P)
12. Jordan

That's all I can think of right now. I wanted to do Ryan but she's in Spain so...I highly doubt that It'll work out. -complications-

Yeah, I hope this turns out well. :)

Oh, btw. If you really can't get anything close to an audio tape you can leave a comment on my voice recorder and I'll tape it onto my mp3 player. That'll work perfectly too. =]

*rushes off to tape sexyback dance* hahah. <3

La Benjelle Familia Montages

Hey Everybody!

Well, first of all, I must point out that this is officially our 900th post on this blog! In the spirit of such, I'd just like to send out a big Moose lick to everyone in La Familia, past or present. We love you all!

In addition, Taylor and I have been discussing what sorts of stuff we want to do to revive our blog over the summer. Fortuitously enough, we each had our own ideas for a montage we wanted to make, and we need your help!

Mine is one that I want to send to Benji and Donyelle to show them how much they've inspired us all. For that reason, I want to try to get video clips of as many of the Familia as I can... DANCING! Whether you're a dancer, or not, I'd love it if you could do something to be represented... Even if it's just the Hokey Pokey! I mean, I'd love to be able to work with some clips of some of you really, truly amazing dancers seriously showing off your craft, but I want to include some sillyness too, so... Just make it whatever you're capable of. Now, I doubt all of you just have videos of yourselves dancing sitting around on your desktop, so I know there would be some work involved, but, PLEASE, if you can, just have someone take a video of you with a digital camera (Or whatever), and put it on your computer to send me. I would be forever greatful! .Mov, .Avi, etc. type files are easily opened on my computer, but I can hopefully find a way to convert whatever form you can get it to me in. Please tell me in a comment if you think you can get me a video, and email me at < b e a t l e m a n i a c 3 5 7 @ y a h o o . c o m > when you have a file to send. Thank you so much! I think this can be really great if you guys can help me out : D.

Also, Taylor had her own idea for a montage, which is also destined for amazingness! She's been wanting to make a picture montage/slideshow of La Familia, with all of our voices talking about the other people in it. I don't know if I'm explaining this well, but I think it will be equally cool if we all help her pull that one off. I don't know exactly how she wants to work this out, so you'll have to talk to her about that, but doesn't it sound cool?

(One Final Plea): PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE SEND ME CLIPS OF YOURSELVES DANCING IF YOU CAN!

Love!
