TEXAS- was fun. The most tiring trip ever but non the less fun. Met some adorable people.

LA- amazing. I've been in la since tuesday. Then left to go to texas now I'm back in la filming christina aguilers new video. CANDYMAN. Benji and I are swing dancing.

We taught her some tricks and we are doing this video with two of our swing friends sarah and melissa. Fun fun. I'm excited! In hair and makeup as we speak.

Ugh, so, off topic... For some unknown reason I volunteered to work both days this weekend... The day was looooooooong, and, on top of that, it ended with a nice big bang. My friend Jessica and I got back from our last station (I work at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum - I doubt you have ANY idea what I'm talking about, except Venus, if she's reading this - but bear with me...), and we spent a lot of time helping out with cleaning up and stuff (This weekend's a big two-day event), and so she wanted to go get ice cream. I thought we should stay, but I'm not good at saying no, so we asked my mom (My current boss - but no, she certainly does not give me preferential treatment... Quite the opposite, actually), and she said we could. So when we got back, everybody else was in the room, and Amy (My ex-boss from when I worked on Saturdays) completely went off on us an BLEW UP! She was, seriously, like, hammering us into the ground in front of everybody, and yelling like a mad woman, saying that my mom's not in charge (Even though she did all the work and Amy took the credit), and so we don't listen to her. And, ugh, I don't need to go ino details, but it kinda sucked. Especially knowing that everyone else bought food, too, they just bought it on their way back, so, by the time they got up there, it was gone. We actually went back up to help, AND asked if we could go, and we get chewed out. Just, gr... lol, Sorry! I'm a ranter extraordinaire!!

Seriously Guys, Please...

I hate to do this, because I always try to be really nice and loving to everyone, but Taylor and I have been talking, and there are a few things I'd like to say:

1) Apart from the fact that we were saving post 800 for something special that, unfortunately, hasn't happened yet... Believe it or not, we do have lives outside of running this blog, even if those lives simply involve school. I'm sorry that it sometimes takes a few days to update, especially to those who have been here since June, and remember the good ol' days of 15 posts per day... But it's been a really, really long time... To my knowledge, we're just about the only Benjelle site still up and running... Vixen foccused essentially on Benji, bu, just the same, she hasn't updated since November. I don't mean to scold you, but with all the school-based stress Taylor and I have, it would just be nice if you could put things in a little perspective. I mean, I'm certainly not here as much as I'd like to be, because I go to a crazy college-prep highschool and have virtually no free time. I founded this blog, and I can't even go on Gabbly with you guys because I'm so swamped with work.

2) I appreciate that the various yelling (Well, as much as you can over the computer) and such is not usually directed at each other, but if you could just take a few minutes to breathe before you post a heated comment with no basis for your claims, it would be much appreciated. I know I react really badly to things. My first instinct in reaction to just about anything is to go to some extreme emotion. Just please try to keep this peaceful : )

3) This blog is now about 50/50 Benjelle/La Benjelle Familia. I'm still shipping, but I know a lot of others aren't, and that's okay. As always, everyone's welcome here, and I really do love you all (Mwaaaaaaaaah!), but, if you're not even remotely shipping Benjelle anymore, not even for nostalgia's sake, why do you bother commenting here? That's REALLY not supposed to sound mean, but I'm honestly just wondering. Some people seem like they're wasting a lot of energy for no reason.

Anywho, I really don't like writing these sorta of posts, and I feel awefully mean now... *tear*

Okay everyone, sorry to leave you in the lurch, here's the deal:

We've had a bunch of posts saved as drafts to put up, but this is officially our 800th post, and we had something amazing to put up to celebrate, but Taylor and I STILL haven't received an email back, so I'm giving in and posting now. Some of the posts we were going to put up are irrevelent now, anyway, so I just deleted them. Hopefully that amazing thing will come through (No, I'm not telling you what it is and getting your hopes up, lol), and we'll just have to celebrate a beleted 800th post if it does.

hey you gorgeous people!!! are you ready DAAAAANCE???

As you may have heard...Im Rita Weltch........Professional DAAAncer!!! You may have seen me on such shows as the Gong Show and Soldid Gold!!! I was first coffe water girl in both productions!!! And needless to say my career has maintained å position of class and superiority over all my dancing peers. You see, I was born to DAAnce!!! Some of my greatest dance influences are Jack Snigglesbury, the late great lategreat Cylde Jocksham, and ofcourse no stranger to DAAncing herself, and a personal friend, Susanne Summers.

I've choreographed for some of the greatest entertainers on earth! Richard Simmons, Ace-of-Base, the Nelson Twins, Milie Vanillie, Lou Vega, Flock of Seguls and probably the most talented I've ever worked with...Vanilla Ice!!! I know you all may be thinking...why is Rita Weltch......Professionalø DAAncer!!! here writing on benji's myspace... well Rita says ''I teach Benji...he's one of my students...he needs a lot of work.'' ...hahahah I just love quoting myself!

I too, have released a series of instructional Laser Disks and projection slides...I know, Im so as they say ''High-Tech''...but then again...I am Rita Weltch.....Professional DAAncer!!!

Im such a charitable person!!!! I actually pride myself in being so himbe and giving...I recently donated my house to the IRS. And am currently working 24-7...teaching DAAnce at the YMCA shelter.

Hi it's Nony!

First I wanted to say that did you know that the Megan Mullally show has been cancelled? That was B's one stop publicity shot. What will he do now? Will he still be able to come again before the end of the year? And I can't even see it on it's original channel anymore it's on at 6:00am on the My Network station.

For those of you in the LA area, Donyelle is performing at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center with Extensions this weekend, Friday/Sat evenings I believe at 8pm. I heard a rumor that Jason is in the performance as well. I'm planning to go Friday night and can confirm who performs in time for the Saturday show, but if you're in the area and can make the drive out there, I highly recommend it either way. Last time I saw this group perform -- even without Donyelle -- they were pretty fantastic and had great choreography.

I can't find any good descriptions of the show or who's performing, but Donyelle has it on her MySpace calendar, so it seems confirmed that at least she is. Here's the link to tickets.

Current mood: relaxed

Hey Everybody,

Just got in from my 14 hour trip. I slept half the time not too bad. Anywho, apparently SYTYCD season 2 was >HUGE here...airport staff stopped me and recognized me although I was wearing a huge pair of glasses and staying low key...that was kinda cool. I never thought the impact of the show would be such a success over here as it was in the US. So it was a pleasant surprise.

bummed because I forgot my camaera on my kitchen table back home. My dad and I booked ourselvs at the same time so were staying together here in Oslo, Norway. Beautiful!!!! This is one of my favorite countries to visit. Ive been here before and loved it.

I apologize if this email isnt making any sense...it could be a combination of the fact that my sleeping pill hasnt worn off plus Im writing on a Norweigan computer.(i know i didnt spell that right) håhåhåhåhåhåhåhåhåhå

so anywho... some updates!!!!

cut my hair...had my bud TJ do it this time...he cut my hair for the first half of the show when we taped. I went really dark again...just this time no eyebrow coloring thank you very much! lol im doing a more chill do...too many people are doing the diagonal faux hawk thing right now, so im short with a little mullet-ness right now. Me likes.

FED up with being told she was too fat, Donyelle Jones was ready to hang up her dancing shoes forever when she suddenly found herself in the spotlight with a Mormon swing dancer by her side.

Jones says auditioning for the US reality television series, So You Think You Can Dance, was to be her last attempt at the big time before she gave up and returned to university to finish her child psychology degree.
"I had not danced for six months," she says. "People kept telling me I was too huge to be a dancer and that can be tough to hear.

"As a dancer you get a fairly thick skin, but it can be frustrating and hurtful to keep getting rejected.

"I was struggling for money because I couldn't get a job, so I decided it was the end for me after this audition.

"I was all ready for Nigel (Lythgoe, a judge on the show) to cut me so I could go home, but I made it."

So instead of packing her bags for university, Jones found herself among the 20 dancers selected from thousands of hopefuls to compete for a place in Celine Dion's Las Vegas stage show.

The show producers teamed Jones, a hip hop dancer, with Benji Schwimmer, a champion swing dancer.

Though the pair had nothing in common on or off the dance floor, Jones says they will now be "lifelong friends".

Jones says the physically and emotionally gruelling schedule of the show had brought all the dancers together during filming.

Though competition was fierce on set, Jones says there were no dirty tricks or attempts to upstage one another during routines.

"We had good camaraderie," she says. "You depend on your partner and you help each other because if they look bad, you look bad. You have to work together, even in group performances.

"Obviously it's still a competition so you want to look the best you can and make good use of your camera time."

Jones says being part of the reality television series has also been a painful experience.

Seriously injuring her big toe in the first few weeks of the competition, Jones was forced to compete - and smile - through pain week after week.

"I was in a lot of pain but you have to just get on with it," she says. "Most of the dancers were injured at some stage during the show.

"When you are working that intensely every week, it is natural for there to be injuries. The human body just isn't meant to work that hard.

"My foot was so swollen I had to wear shoes that were a size too big. And I would put my foot in an ice bucket as often as I could."

Normally a hip hop enthusiast, Jones says being part of the show has opened her eyes to new disciplines of dance.

Though she will be happy to never dance another quickstep routine in her life, Jones is keen to hone her skills in Latin dancing.

"It was a great experience. I learned so much," she says.

Compared with some of the others on the show who have been training since they could walk, Jones started dancing relatively late in life - at age 18 - when choreographers were impressed by her moves in a university production of Hair.

"Luckily I didn't have to take off my clothes - they cut that bit out - or I may never have gone in it," she says.

"I have been really lucky with how things have turned out.

"I believe it's a God-given gift that I was given the opportunity to do this."

Also, TV Guide Magazine(Jan8-14, 2007) mentioned that Travis Wall "had a blink-and-you-miss-it role on ER." The small article is really about Artem a SYTYCD 1 dancer. I guess he's doing really well now that he's dating a judge from "Dancing with the Stars."

HEY Everyone!!! happy new years again...
I just got back after being stuck in the airport forEVER!!! but im home and i had the opportunity to sleep a lil bit so that was great. just wanted to let everyone know something.
You can form your own opinions but let me explain about the dvd's and the comments recieved by them. If any of you have seen our competitors' prices...you would know they aren't even by far the most expensive partner dancing dvds out...infact, they are extremely reasonable...b eyond that of most of the comprehensions of the great myspace friends that I have. So really guys...Heidi and I really wanted to make them affordable for all of you guys so to make them at 45 dollars...we're actually being VERY fare. Im a man of my word and I don't think I've ever done to show Im not an honest person and these dvd's are not only worth it, but were practically giving them away concidering were selling 2 dvds (WEST COAST SWING:BEGINNING WITH THE BASICS, and the BONUS EXTRAS DVD) which are 90 dollar value...yet they are being sold for less than the price of one at $39.99. If you look at other STYCD dance related dvds....NONE are being sold at 20 dollars, and none include not only a winner of the show, but a top 4 finalist as well. So you're getting double the instruction...every dvd has bloopers, and bumpers with on scene new york antics...then you also get an amazing lesson. We have music from both the audones and Sumthin Cookin', a very famous underground Blues band....not some canned poop that most people use. I rented out a club in NYC to record the dvd so its not some plain background like most dvds as well. Believe me...45 dollars is nothing.
But, everyone has an opinion. If i could give you the price as to what the dvd's are actually worth....people would flip!!!! so we're being nice.
I wanted to express that the dvd's a awesome...I hope people look at them over and over again. Not many people know this from the show...but I have been teaching professionally since I was 13. I had weekly lessons I taught to adults on swing. So in all honesty you have so much experience on these dvds...you can't find it anywhere else the way heidi and i quite did it.

hey i read this article on the benjelle lj. it mentioned something about donny wanting to learn more latin dancing. i believe that is a sign. now benji really must ask donny to dance the tango. i agree. they have to do it soon. she also said benji & her will be "lifelong friends". awww.

benji changed the caption under the pic of him n donny (you know the jenny/forrest) to "miss Donyelle Jones!!!!"...methinks someone's missing someone. i mean...is "miss" a reflection of his feelings rather than "Miss" as when you're addressing an unmarried lady? right? right? or am i just excited over nothing? benji must now dance the argentine tango with donny like i mentioned in a previous post. nigel, who i'm sure is reading this, must make benji dance with donny again when he opens for sytycd 3.
