What a crazy 3 weeks its been...or should i say IS...

so guys i have no time repacking...going to Salt lake city again for the second time within this 3 weeks span to go to my church's General Conference...then to plan the new DEMAND event...then to teach and and hang with some old missionary buddies...and yes,
my Ex..."the ex" as some have put it...you know the one that made me cry on tv...lol we're good friends im shooting her!!! well with my camera that is...lol!!!! She's awesome!
Lol...so anywho i have to pack right now...but if yall wanna know any details...check this...



My life has been oober busy...but great
bad luck at airports...but great dancing nonetheless in my performances and workshops



oakland to san fran to hawaii to spokane to la to redlands to la to redlands to la to lancaster, pa to elizabethtown to baltimore to salt lake city to heber city to lindon to heber city to lindon to salt lake to redlands to la to redlands to salt lake.


...that folks has been within only 2 weeks! yes thats right...craziness...but gosh i feel so blessed to be able to do this. i just got my hair cut and crashed at my dads apartment for like 9 hours...now im off...at 4 am...ive had some horrible traveling luck but its okay im dealing and im actually much better after spending time with a few great friends including heidi, allison holker, jaymz, matt, alan, kim, lacey, torri , josh and my dad. they charged me up and im doing good! i love dancing...even more and more...no matter how tired i am...ive bought myself a vacation too...not telling where but its new to me so coolio...

i managed in those two weeks to have taught 15 west swing workshops, 2 nite club two step ones, 7 jazz classes, 4 contemporary, 4 jazz funk and 8 shows, 2 benefiting charities and filming 2 commercials, 1 infomercial and booking myself to do the TV Land awards show this next month, going to singapore, norway and china.

life rocks! Jesus lives...and i gotta catch a jet.

to "my girls" who came to baltimore...much love!!! you guys brought a new energy to me that day when i hadnt slept in four days. love yall!!! and its so cool to see you all so "westy" and improving in our swing!

10. starting the GREY SWEAT PANTS CLUB...the fabric in grey sweatpants...nd im talking the cheap-os btw...has a different consistancy than the rest of the colors...and in grey i mean dark grey...not light eighties grey. all sweatpants are GREAT!!! but grey sweatpants are different....Rita calls them sweatPANTS!

9. Saying the Phrase: "Oh sweet sunshine!" but you have to say it like so "OHHHH
Sweet SunCHINE!!!!" its just cooler like that.

8. as people on cell phones walk past you while you're walking past them....speak very boldly to them as you swiftly walk by and say " I was on TV!!!!" its fun

7. its cool to understand that sometimes we need "me time" and we're not being selfish for it. im planing my ery first real...by myself...knowone knows where im at vacation.....it might be next year...but its gonna happen...i might just lock myself in my apartment and not tell anyone. hide my car and turn off all lights!

6. real estate investing...OH YEAHA!

5. when you're envious of someone for wearing something cool or for having something you don't remember this one thing " THEY POOP...AND THEY'RE POOP SMELLS LIKE POOP...AND THAT"S GROSS!!!"

3. knowing that a music video with west coast swing in it is number in almost all corners of the world....pretty darn cool....

Farting...you know sometimes...when you're all tense and stressed..and maybe you didnt like your food...and you know that everyone does it...so why not let it out loud and proud every once and a while eh? i admit it...there...id like to see if any of you are also proud of your passing heritage....that its okay to break wind. just as long as you're not putting people down wind from it.....lol man im nuts...

I Have An Announcment To Make

Hey guys, I've been putting this off for a while now, but I suppose it really should be said.

By now, I'm sure you've noticed that the bulk of the posts over the last month or two have all been Taylor's. In fact, due to my riggorous study schedule, some of you more recent readers only know her, and not me. However, to those of you who remember the Golden Days of Tayoose, when our hearts still believed that our Beloved Benjelle were having a torrid affair, when none of the original Benjelle Familia had jumped ship, when we spent all our free time searching all the sites we came across for videos, pictures, and gossip... I owe it to you to make this official.

By now, you've probably guessed that, for the time being, I am leaving this humble blog I began, and leaving it in the more-than-capable hands of Co-Owner Taylor, my lovely Pumbaa. I doubt many of you will care all too much (It seems as though nearly all of you would rather Taylor have full charge, anyway), but I will be coming back for those who do. I'm just taking a break for a few months... Most likely until I get out of school in late May. I plan to stop in periodically before that time, as I have been doing, but I probably won't post very often (There isn't really anything of any interest right now other than Benji's blogs and pictures, anyway, and Taylor gets to those before I do because, due to the time difference - We pretty much live across the country from each other - she gets home before I do).

Just to give you a vague reason for this (Other than those two points I have already made): I go to a college prep highschool, so I pretty much have to constantly be doing homework, and I have a whole slew of personal problems that have been progressively building up throughout the year. It's just too much to juggle.

Just know that I love you all (ESPECIALLY my original Benjelle Familia, though many of you have long since departed), and it's been really hard for me to come to this decision.

CELEBRATE YOUR FLAWS!!!

Howdy Guys! im Gonna Be Two Busy in the next couple of days to actually blog...so i decided to do my weekly blog about my TOP 10 today at 2 am. I just got back from a photo shoot in Newport Beach for Image magazine...Ill let you know when its out...its models are myself, and a very special someone that you all know VERY WELL.

Life is crazy, but GREAT! Im loving my work and the challenges at hand. I have great people in my life right now that I know God put them there for a reason. Dancing is so much fun and I love training and teaching and performing...my foot is feeling much better. not going full full out...like benji:BRITE crazy on it yet...but i can definatley get by and im hoping to go full out by the end of the week. Ive been doing a lot of choreography lately and its been some of the best stuff i feel that Ive been inspired to do, so thats a good sign that thru all the classes i teach and take and the new art projects im doing are rubbing off! Im a firm believer in leanring and acquiring as much knowledge in ANYTHING to make me a better and more understanding person and dancer.

Okay but today, the Top Ten of the Week might just make some people who fantasize about lil' ol' me think twice.

Today, I'm pointing out TEN PHYSICAL FLAWS that i have that Ive learned to like about myself and laugh at as opposed to hate myself for them!!! We all have em' somewhere or somehow...here's a very select few of the plethora I have!!! ;P



10. My BIG HEAD: its big! i was born sunny side up and the doctors pulled me out. on my newborn pics i had the huge E.T. head thing going so my folks put a hat on me...baseball hats usually never fit...to this day i always wear odd hats...its not because my head is shaped like ET anymore, just stuck to it which caused me to be a lil more creative in what i wear...hense my big head helped me to wear unique stuff...

9. My CROOKED KNEES: my knees are slightly inverted more than normal knees....so to appear that they are normal, Ive always had to dance more turned out then anyone...just to look regular...which has caused my to be able to show turn out, even though i never knew the importance of it in swing dancing...but the there a big importance to it in solo dancing which i have embraced recently...so cool blessing in disguise!

8. my BUBBLE BUTT; yeah yeah...I always hated it that I didnt fit into pants as easliy as some...but the BENJOOTY's cushioning as helped prevent serious injury from the likes of Christina Aguilera and Tyra Banks!!! so yeah big bonus!!!

7. My CHICKEN WINGS: I have extremely flexible shoulders...i can hold a soda can with em when im free of injury and knots. Some say it makes guys look weakly and hunched...I can inflate them out so far that it looks like i have pretty worked out latts..as well as i can puff my chest and extend the wings and it looks like i have a barrel chest...very good for paso doble, and or for freaking out friends with a lil diddy i call "dead bird" hahahahha

6.My Crooked NOSE: yeah so from looking at me straight on...you cant really tell my nose is crooked...but if you look from under me...my nose goes completely in a 20 degree angle to the right...its kinda funny! i think its cool. i dont think if i was to have a perfect face and be proportionate in perfection that i wouldn't feel the need to be real and like me in the inside and be a good man to a good lady and/or try to dance so much and just get chicks, and also by it sticking out more than normal i have more room to smile...lol im down with that!

5. my POOFY STOMACH: sure I have an eight pack at times...but the funny thing is...that i breathe in and for most the air is locked in the chest...mine goes down to my stomach...so i can stick my stomach out like a 9 month old mother with triplets...its kinda cool to do it once again for friends, belly dancing hehe, and shakira imitations!!!

4. HERBIE and KIRBY: My GIANT BIG TOES: Yes...my two big toes are absolutely bigger than my other toes by a long shot. they are twins except KIRBY has bad luck and has two scars on him and was rcently sprained...but hEALS FAST...my buds still make fun of my HERBIE and KIRBY, but hey...the wider the better...they help my spin my butt off and balance a lot better...plus they are so long and big i can fold them over and walk on the knuckle of them..even jump...once again cool for scaring friends and such.

3. My TEETH: I had the most horendous time having my braces as a teen. I had them on for 5 years, and they were never done...my ortho never finished the job and did a rotten half way point to add to the fire. I had them taken off in protest...I just didnt care anymore. But oddly enough...they had slid kinda together in a organized fashion during my mission. The jawline is messed up. When i take a bite out of a hamburger the lettuce stays half way between being eaten and not...my top and bottom rows of teeth dont touch till you get to my molars. its hilarious...but its helped my bust out the "apple bite" smile when performing...hense adding a lil uniqeness to my facial expressions...lol!!!

2. part 2: MY SMILE: you know...i dont know if i have "A SMILE" ...more like 20 of them...so yeah they vary all the time but its cool. I used to hate my smile. I thought it made me look ugly..now its my prefered weapon of choice! I now like and welcome that I have a gummy smile...most teeth bleaching commercials use HUGE smiles...so thats cool...unique is good! Also, one side of my smile goes down at the dimple, the other goes up...coolness because my dad's smile goes up, and my mom's curves down...and i have both...i take after both i guess!!!

1. MY PAWS: okay...Ive always hated my hands...I could never be a hand model...i have stubby fingers and big palms...which my mom since birth has called my PAWS...and when i was younger, if i tried to hold them into a cup shape to hold MandMs or water or something...i had so much pudge there that they rolled off em!!! that was like till i was 12!!! lol...and although i hated it then...telling that story to someone when i dating while were holding hands, always makes their hearts melt...oh yeah...i pimp it hardcore!!! hehehehhe





So yeah, in closing I believe there's always a WHY and reason to ones imperfections or flaws...they make us hman and beautiful and human and unique. Dimples are concidered awesome by so many people...angel kisses they call them...but in reality they are a birth defect in the formation of the face...coolness!

Well that pretty much sums it up....CELEBRATE an imperfection or two here...or ten whatevs!!! cant wait to read them!!! Also I encourage people who may be having issues with how they look...find the reason behind the why.

Here's some stuff from twop.com.

I was at the Entyce workshop this weekend with Tyce, Donyelle, Heidi, Benji, Natalie and also Chris Jones (a hip-hop dancer from You Got Served). Allison and Ivan were supposed to be there, but they said Alli is doing High School Musical 2 and Ivan also had some other commitment.

Anyway, they had a Q & A with the dancers and they were asked who their favorite judge was. They pretty much all had nice things to say about Nigel. They said even though his comments could seem harsh, they knew that Nigel was trying to give them constructive advice. Also, they said he was much sweeter off camera.

As for the workshops - Benji and Heidi taught a 'swing jazz' workshop. It was a dizzingly fast combo to a My Chemical Romance song. By they way, props to Benji for being a real trouper. His foot was in a cast, he had fallen and injured it while teaching a class a couple days ago. He could have easily dropped out of teaching the workshop, but he forged ahead - plus he even performed in the teachers' recital at the end of the day, with a swing routine that he carefully choreographed around his injury. And during the Q & A, he said he was trying to live up to his title of America's Favorite Dancer. Benji said he was taking even more classes now than he did before the show, to get even better and more versatile. That's why I voted for him - that kind of attitude, dedication and caring about the audience really impressed me and still does.

Natalie taught a contemp routine to a slow song and it was pretty. Chris Jones did hip-hop (and he's a fantastic dancer, by the way). Donyelle taught 'street jazz', it was hip-hop but with some jazz moves. She was absolutely the best teacher there. She broke down every move carefully and the class did very well keeping up. Tyce taught a Broadway routine to Christina Aguilera's 'Candyman'. Benji is dancing with Christina in the vid of that, as we know. But that vid was very retro 40's swing stuff - jive/lindy hop. Tyce's routine had a couple of jive kicks in it, but otherwise was more of a jazz/pop thing with a little urban feel, more like the kind of stuff you see in a typical music video. Donyelle took Tyce's class and he had her dance solo to it, she was great.

9. okay...another thing...(this is so much fun playing the negative role!) when you receive ;P a comment or a letter or a text....and someone writes "your cute" or "your adorable" or "your amazing" ......YOUR WHAT's AMAZING?!?!?!?!?! hahaha guys its
YOU'RE=you are... you're this, you're that....there ya go...this is MARTHA's most abominable pet peeve!!! lol(but if you made that mistake...its totally cool im a horrible speller!)


8. misleading foods that say they're healthy but really are loaded with bad stuff!!! those are bad....restaurants as well.


7. when Golden Spoon(my favorite place) runs out of cake batter-flavored frozen yogurt!!! thats the worst!


6. when you're doing a performance and your music skips!!!


5. "the in between" stage when you are trying to grow out your hair and its not quite there....i end up looking like a cross between Buckweat and Justin Timberlake when i start dancing.


4. wanting to put a song on my myspace but the clean edited versions are usually never available here....bums me out a bit.


3. being too busy for people i really care about...thats a big one lately.

1. okay im at airports all the time...occasionally visiting the bathrooms to take care of business....here's a gross one...you know guys, when you're in a public restroom...you're washing your hands....then you see a guy just flush and leave without even putting some water on his hands? I really dislike that...and its even weirder to think that most of them look like clean cut business men types....thats just nasty....PLEASE WASH YOUR HANDS PEOPLE!!!! lol whats even weirder is when you're boarding your plane and you walk in and he's sitting right there...and he knows you know that he didn't wash and he knows you know that he knows.....thats very uncomfortable!!!!
