RYAN ROCKS MY SOCKS!!!

Thanks Ryan! You are soooo fuzzin lucky!!! I lover you!!



OMG! The tour was ah-mazing! Money well spent! I even got pictures. My seats weren't spectacular, but they weren't bad either. I actually got to switch with the woman in a row ahead of me, but then this tall big-headed guy sat infront of me. He didn't come until the 2nd or 3rd routine. Ummmm, you don't come in late for SYTYCD! A big "No, No". Luckily, there was an empty seat next to me so I could lean over. My camera has a long zoom so that's why it appears that I'm so close to the stage. I don't have any pics from the first half of the show b/c I was afraid they wouldn't let me bring my camera in, but at the intermission I went and got it which turned out to be a reeeaaaally good thing. And Chicago's favorite dancers judging by the response are Travis (1), Benji & Ivan. I think Ivan may have had a lil bit over Benji, but it's a toss-up. But enough with the particulars. On with the show!

So this isn't a total play-by-play, but rather the things that stuck out to me, which will explain how it may be all over the place .

First off, Donyelle wasn't in these group dances: Ramalama, Disco, Bye Bye Blackbird, and the Encore Group "You Can't Stop the Beat" at the end. I was totally disappointed to see Jessica (wtf?) in Ramalama and Disco, and not Donyelle L. Maybe she wasn't totally 100%, but better than in St. Louis. She was in Technologic and Chicago though..



I loved Donny's intro to Heidi/Benji Mambo. She has great delivery and even though it is, it doesn't sound too rehearsed or scripted.



But Travis and Allison, on the other hand, and even Benji a little too, their intros/history lessons don't sound as natural.


Natalie is also a natural. She's a ham, but fun. She should seriously consider acting if her knees ever give out (due to dance injuries, get your mind out of the gutter people!).


There weren't too many Benjelle moments. I didn't/couldn't see any behind-the-screen action pre-Too Much Booty. At the end he lifted her up by the waist. The Argentine tango intro was cute of course! Donny wasn't humping Benji's leg like someone said in another city, but she was up on him and he didn't seem to jump as quickly out of Donny's clutches like in Phoenix.

For the VFW intro, Benji said "no comment" about his and Donny's relationship and he announced her as "my partner: Donyelle!" I took some photos and the final embrace makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside..






"You Can't Stop the Beat" went off without anybody getting hurt. They were so cute in all their dances.




Other standouts:

-Treidi Bench routine: You've seen it, you know it's amazing, even more so live.


-Ivan's solo: He danced to Justin Timberlake's "My Love". It borrowed some of the moves from his Wade Robeson solo, but it was hot! I love that song though. JT you need to hire this boy when Futuresex/Lovesounds goes on tour! Pronto!



-Dmitry & Natalie's Samba: I didn't really pay attention to it when they did it on the show, but this time I did and it was very entertaining…and en fuego!


-Treidi Paso Doble: I've always loved this one, and this time is no exception. It's especially intense live with the music and lighting.

-"SexyBack": I liked this version. They all vamped it up. This time Travis brought it, unlike on tv when Donny stole the number, but she was still on her game tonight with the diva persona. Fierce! And Benji's Zoolander impression at the end was too much LOL. He had it dead-on.

-Travelle Georgia: How lovely…The word that comes to mind is "floetry". It almost got me misty-eyed.

-Travalie contemporary: A gorgeous piece, and those to get so much height on their leaps. It would have been nice to have seen them dance together on the show.

-And Benji's solo: That Boy moves so fast and he danced out into the audience on a platform in the orchestra pit. Kinda like *NSYNC on the "No Strings Attached" tour.

Oh and did I mention I got to meet them? Yeah…I DID!

Afer waiting 1.5-1.75 hours for them by the back door by the buses, Travis came out first then Allison & Ivan, then not in this order (b/c I don't remember) Martha & Donny, Natalie, Dmitry, Ryan, Jaymz and finally Benji.




The first one I came in contact with was Ryan. Oh, and before I forget, I was right behind the barricade, leaning on it, front and center. Now here's where the title of this post stems: Since he's in front of me (and probably b/c I have nothing better to say) I say "Hey Ryan! My name is Ryan too!" LAME, yes I know, but whatevs LOL. He then says his mom named him 'Ryan' so that it would be easy for him to spell as a little one. I was named after a character on a now defunct soap opera ("Ryan's Hope"). Go fig. So I asked Ryan if we could take a photo ('Ryan & Ryan') and we did. Despite what we saw on the television, Ryan does have a personality and he's not creepy .



Natalie and Ivan are a hoot! Ivan had us screaming for the guys. He was like "If you love Travis (and then Benji) scream!" Then Travis did the same for Ivan. Nat and Ivan were hamming it up a bit. Some girl had dropped her program or something and Ivan picked it up for her and when he came back up he was like "Hey!" Apparently, the girl grabbed his butt. LOL. Him and Natalie were joking about it and acting out the scenario.



Martha is funny too. She came out all bundled in sweats and a hat and scarf, "comfy", and someone had said they loved her sweatpants. And she was like "Thanks, I had to be fashionable" (or something like that). Then she was like "You should have seen me back there. I was sitting back there in my panties and looked down and was like 'where are my pants?'" Oh Marf Marf. LOL. Silliness.



I think Jaymz was around so as not to be rude, b/c I could really care less about him, I took his picture



I also got a shot of Allison signing an autograph, but I didn't talk to her.



Next up…Donyelle (said in the Benji voice when he picked her out of the hat )! I have a [hetero]girl crush on her. She's just awesome, what can I say. Anyways, she's so petite and she's gorgeous in person, and although I hated her new hair style at first, I kinda like it now. There was some screaming going on, but I don't remember who it was for, but she was like "Don't you just love that? [She screams.] Especially in the mall." Then she said her and BENJI do that in the mall when they see each other ( a little squeeliciousness for Benjellers). I asked her could she sign my ticket and also could we take a picture. She said yes and I asked the losers around me to take a photo of us, but no one stepped up. (I would've done it, but I was afraid I'd cut our heads off!) So she was like "I'll do it" and it turned out fine, aside from my fathead (not a flattering camera angle for me :p.) She's a pro. I thanked her and told her she was awesome (how unoriginal of me). She was gracious, said thanks, and went to the next person.



Me being in the front row (and I was NOT moving till I met all my peeps, so get over it bitches), I had to do some Matrix-like, Heidi-backbends to take photos for others and to move out of the way. I never realized I was so flexible…


And then there was Benji. Benji is as sweet as pie. I asked him for his autograph too (I got Donny and Martha's too) and then I asked him for a photo and he was like "Sure." Like I said, my batteries were on the brink of death and by camera kept cutting off. I was gonna cry if I didn't get this photo. Seriously. Boo-hoo cry. Well maybe not, snotty boo-hoo crying, but there'd be some tears. He was like "Oh no. Dying batteries." So being the sweetheart that he is, he waited for me to get the thing to come on long enough to get the picture. I thanked him graciously and told him he was awesome and he was said "No problem," and "awww thanks and thanks so much for coming to the show." Someone asked him where Heidi was and he said one of the Roadies got sick so she went with him to the hospital. Isn't she sweet?



I wanted to get a photo with or of Dmitry, but my camera wasn't having it. Luckily I caught him when he first came out. He's so cute in person. I like his dimples .



Yes, I was "Miss Unoriginal" tonight (how many times can one say "awesome"and "like"? I sound like a valley girl), but I was starstruck and sleepy (I only slept for 4 hours the night before because I was searching for cupcakes @ 1am (don't ask) and had to get up at 6am to drive to work when I usually take the train). Meeting them gave me a second wind though , enough to make it home which I didn't reach until 2:20am!

So I had a fantabulous time by my lonesome which is all good. All of the dancers are genuinely gracious and good people (alliteration). Fame hasn't gone to their heads…yet, but hopefully it won't. What a hell of a "Bon Voyage"!

As I said before, I'm making a poll for the authors to vote for their favorite plot idea for the group fic, TONIGHT. Please submit any ideas you have by 7:00 (ish, I'll still use it if I see your idea before the poll is completely made) tonight WEST COAST TIME (so later at night for East-Coasters). Question: Is it possible to murder a computer application??? I don't suppose anybody uses 'ezeclip' with iMovie? If so, I beg of you, teach me! I got it to work for one clip, but I was only testing it, and now it will only let me layer video with that one clip, and I'm getting really pissed off. You know what I do when I'm really frusterated and pissed off (usually with the calculus homework I'm confused as hell over)? I tend to scream "fuck you" (sorry) several times in succession. Yeah : D. So my parents aren't too pleased, and having knowledge of how to work the stupid program would greatly improve that situation.

Update On Group Fic

Hey everybody, as I said, I'm going to wait until the end of the weekend (some time tomorrow night) for more people to submit ideas for the fic, and then I'm going to make a poll for you to vote in. I think it will be a yes/no sort of thing for each of the possible plots, so you can choose your few favorites (not all of them, obviously). The one with the most votes will be the main plot, while the net few in line should be incorporated into some extent. Alternately, I may have you vote on one of a few options for main plot, and a few of the others for subplots.

To let you think about it in advance, these are the plot concepts so far (Kat is using her idea with Kara for her own fic):

Main plot concepts:
- Kat #1: "some sort of serious accident during the show's run that leaves either of Benjelle's life in the balance, forcing the other to evaluate how he/she really feels"
- Kat #2: "Donyelle gets injured somehow and gets amnesia."
- Moose: (The rough draft of the first chapter to this one was posted earlier) "The abhorridly cutting and rascist words of a highly religious woman haunt Donyelle's dreams, causing her to reevaluate her relationship with Benji. Feeling there was truth behind what the stranger had said, she found herself running back to Tahir's arms. Their relationship is an abusive one. As the tour progresses, Benji notices her distant behavior, and quickly recognizes the signs after Donyelle is reunited with Tahir at the LA show. Can he convince her of his love before it's too late?"
- Phoenix: "3 years after sytycd, Donyelle runs into Benji at a night club"
- Ray: "they go their separate ways after the tour, B goes to NYC to be on broadwayyyy (maybe with Heidi) and D goes to NYC to pursue hip hop/jazz. theyve lost all contact with each other until they audition for the same company and both make it.back to rehearsing/traveling together, and old feelings are brought back to the surface..."
- Jonesy: "I thought it would be funny if like ... while on tour donyelle breaks up w/ tahir and it comes up that benji's in love w/ her ... duh. but ever since the samba, dmitry can't stop thinking of her either, despite natalie lol."

Ideas that have been specifically laid out as secondary plot concepts:
- Candice #1: "Cat is pregnant and the dancers are all atwitter planning a baby shower. It's cutesy but would work...and it could be funny when the guys get involved."
- Candice #2: "Nigel is trying to recruit some of the dances for a new Fox reality show 'So You Think You're a Celebrity Idol?'--a cross between SYTYCD, Celebrity Duets, and American Idol. This could also work as a full-fledged fic by itself."
- Candice #3: "if we are going to do an amnesia plotline, I think it would be hilarious for Dmitry to be the one with amnesia...we could switch his accent, make him think he's from Texas, etc. Sooo many funny possibilities, but it could also be serious at times." (<--- Moose LOVES this one, by the way : D)

PLEASE submit any other ideas you have to this post by tomorrow afternoon if you would like them to be considered. Small secondary plotlines can be added later on without necessarily being voted on, but the main plotline should be decided through that poll.

MUPPETS!!!

Okay, so I've been searching all morning for SOMETHING worthy of being posted here (lol, and by that I mean that I found nothing that wasn't worthy, either)... Finally, I decided I might as well go over to Vixen's blog (It's nothing personal, I just don't often go there, anymore. I love Benji, but you know I'm obsessed with the Benjelle and devote all my time to that : D). Now, I think only, Candice, Ora, Kemi, Taylor, and I will TRULY enjoy this, since we've been talking about how much we all love the Muppets (And this includes, The Fraggles, Sesame Street, Labyrinth, Dinosaurs, etc... Well, for me, at least : D And Candice likes The Fraggles.) over in the comments on Taylor's latest story. It started with 'Mahna Mahna' then went to 'The Rainbow Connection,' various characters, etc. Anywho, here's a quote from an interview with Benji that Vixen put on her page:

Ideas For Group Fic

The only person who has responded (That I've seen) to my question is I_love_Benyelle on the fanfiction board, but here are her ideas for the fic:
• "Just something like at Donyelle's studio, there's this 8/9 year old girl named Kara (or whatever) that signed up for hip-hop lessons a while back and has really latched herslf onto Donny. So, when (for a reason yet to be named that I'll think of later) Kara's parents die, Donyelle learns that Kara's parents had named her to be guardian of Kara."
• "some sort of serious accident during the show's run that leaves either of Benjelle's life in the balance, forcing the other to evaluate how he/she really feels"
• "Donyelle gets injured somehow and gets amnesia."

Also, I wrote out a rough draft of the first chapter of the idea I had. It's not written very well, but you hopefully get the idea. If people happen to like it, I'm willing to use it for the group fic, but I don't like it that much, so I don't expect you to : D. I have a few scenes planned out for later in the plot, so I'll probably just write it as my own fic, when I have the time. Anywho, here it is... It's short:

The rain fell in torrents, deafening in it's clamor. She ran from the hotel lobby, out into the storm and the sorrow that accompanied it. Where had he gone? She scanned the streets for his for his SUV, for his silhouette, for any trace of him not washed away in the grief she felt encompass her is its frigid embrace. Why? Why couldn't she say it? Why couldn't she stop him from walking out once more, from abandoning her to pursue his greater ambition? Why didn't he love her? It was all her fault. It was ALWAYS her fault. She'd so often before run from all in her life she loved, all that scared her with its unknown possibilities. What if this had been her last chance? What if he had been the one for her to spend her life with? The tears cascaded down her cheeks, unnoticed through the wetness the dreary clouds had already set upon her face. She could not escape this feeling. She had lost him. She was alone, once more.

The scathing clamor of buses echoed through her mind, replacing the sounds of rainfall she could recall. Confused, she opened her eyes to find the tour buses had arrived. Slowly she rose from Tahir's shoulder, grasping her bags and preparing to board. As she turned to walk away, he spun her back to face him. She expected a hug, a kiss, any such interaction of the usual boyfriend-girlfriend sort. Instead, he merely pulled her closer to him, whispering harsh words in her ear, "I want you to stay away from him, okay? You are MY girl, now don't you go on forgetting that. Don't go around being a slut just 'cause the good little Mormon boy needs his dick tended to, you hear me?" She turned away from him in disgust, but he yanked her arm until she was back beside him. Grabbing her firmly so as to ensure she could not escape, he planted his lips domineeringly upon her, shoving his tongue forcefully between them. She did not kiss him back, but emitted a sound of helplessness. To him, it appeared a moan. Satisfied with himself, he pulled away, pinching her ass before allowing her to board. Benji paused before walking up the stairs, disgusted at the scene he had witnessed. She followed him into the small space that would be their home, careful to pull on the sleeves of her shirt until they covered the old bruises upon her arms.

As she laid in bed that night, the events flooded back through her consciousness, causing her to toss and turn through her discomforted slumber. Whore. Old. Fat. Negro (AN: For story purposes, this isn't the word that was actually used, but I'm not going to even type that one). Abomination. The words echoed through her very being as the image of the woman became more clear. She had stood on the street corner, signing autographs for the young girls who had approached her. Her head rose up in fear at the woman's outcry, as she came to stand before her, attacking her. She wore a CTB ring, a bible in her hand. "You are a scathing blemish to God's fair name! You prance about on that television screen as though you belong there, but you will never make anything of yourself. He will never want you, because he knows God. God made you a slave, and you shall remain such. Go back to Africa, and stay away from that boy. You'll see... He'll dispose of you in the end. What you are trying to pull here is disgusting."

She stirred, her mumbling growing louder as the scene played back to her. How true that woman's words were. Benji could never want her. He was a good mormon. It was against his religion to love such lowly scum. She could only ever be his charity case. This realization had sent her running back to Tahir. Suddenly, she felt a hand upon her shoulder, shaking her gently. "Donny?" the voice said, "What's wrong?"

She opened her eyes to see Travis before her, a look of concern etched carefully across his youthful features. She needn't bother him with such weighty troubles. "Nothing," she said unconvincingly, "Just a bad dream..." She was careful to smile for effect. Travis knew there was more to the story, but chose not to press the issue, not yet. Sighing, Donyelle closed her eyes, once more. All in her life was just one long, bad dream.

First of all, as we know now (and have already mentioned, I believe), it was actually Benji's LEG that hit her - Ow!

she was in the show up until the middle of Sexy Back and ran off the stage during it. We met them all afterwards. Benji said she was injured, possible whiplash in Denver, and was on strong medication that made her really dizzy on stage, thats why she left. Jessica filled in for her in the rest of the group numbers. We did get Donyelle's autograph and picture, but she seemed really quiet and when we asked her if she was feeling better, she just kinda goes "I'm ok" but didn't sound like she really meant it. She looked great up to that point tho.

UPDATE: Okay, so I figured it was a joke when I first read it, but I just decided to take a gander at his comments, and people have been talking about it. Someone referred to the "Schwimmer-Holker" wedding... Lol, apparently she wrote something in her blog, or something (I'll go check) about how she hopes all her family could attend the wedding. She also mentioned her love for Travis. Just as suspected, it IS a joke!

I just finshed wathing Lacey on The Suite Life! OMG! That was a fuzzin bit part!! D< Buuut, it was Lacey, how can I be mad? :) Her dress was pretty!! Lacey reminds me of a doll! I just loooove her!!!

And her pretty hair! Okay so she danced the samba for like 5 seconds. Sadly London and "fish boy" were blocking her, but you can stil see her. I wish Lacey had lines!!!! Dang! Well, once it comes on youtube Ill upload it :) :)

"okay, guys.. i went to tonight's show on a whim. after the finale and how donny was treated i told myself i would NOT go. i would NOT give nigel my money.. but after all of the spoilers and all of the benjelle goodness i decided to go! and fortunately there were tickets still left and i got a great seat! right behind the orchestra pit!

first let me say that this will not be that detailed i will mainly be focused on DONYELLE.. and they did not allow any cameras.

as you know the first partner dance was TMB. and i knew to look behind the screen =D there was no tucking but after they got their shirts ready benji started rubbing donny's back and then pulled her into a big hug. then they came out.. the energy was high.. both givin' it all they had.. it was awesome! donyelle looked so gorgeous and hot especially in the chicago routine! she was fierce! and the contemp with travis is even more beautiful in real life.. so soothing.. it truly is like a painting come to life.

well.. anyway.. the only routine where it didn't seem like donyelle was really going full out was the sexy back routine. and that was the last routine before intermission. okay.. intermission is here and i'm thinking about how awesome everything was.. then ramala!!!
but wait?! where's donny? there's no donny? no big deal.. maybe she's getting ready for another dance.. then disco.. still no donny.. =( and travis does his solo and HE introduces heidi and benji.. WTF??? NOOOOO.. DONNY IS SUPPOSED TO DO THAT!! then.. my last hope.. travis introduces hairspray.. done by two of his favorite firecrackers.. *holding my breath* "benji and martha!" martha? *tears* *more tears* no donny the entire second half of the show.. i sat in silence.. i'm sad. the end."
